Consent declaration
On Medtech Odense's website, we wish to collect information about you. To target communication about current news, offers, events, and more, we collect a range of information about you. This includes personal data such as name and contact details, information about allergens, payment details, other accessibility needs (e.g., wheelchair access), and information related to events where photos, video, and audio may be recorded. The above information is considered personal data under data protection regulations. The data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Article 6(1)(a) and Article 9(2)(a), which concern consent. Participation and recording are voluntary. Medtech Odense is responsible for protecting your data, which is used in accordance with the stated purpose.
Purpose of processing personal data
The processing of collected data is used for targeted communication and event invitations, as well as for managing payment, allergens, and similar matters related to the execution of events. These events aim to promote collaboration between researchers, clinicians, company and organization representatives, and other external stakeholders interested in shaping future patient care through new health technologies.
Personal data processed
Full name, email address, postal code, phone number, workplace/organization, title/position.
Additionally, we may need to process the following information:
- Photos and video
Consent to take and use photos/video from the event for communication and marketing purposes.
- Food and allergens
Information about allergies and dietary preferences (e.g., vegetarian, gluten-free, nut allergy). Consent to store and share this information with catering providers.
- Payment information
Credit card details (if applicable – must be stored securely and in accordance with GDPR and PCI-DSS), billing address, EAN number (for public institutions), and CVR number (for companies).
- Other Information
Participant's accessibility needs (e.g., wheelchair access, interpreter), transportation needs (e.g., carpooling, parking), and any notes or comments from the participant.
How we use your information
Medtech Odense wishes to use personal data for targeted communication about information, events, and offers, as well as for managing and executing events. The data will not be published but used for communication and event purposes. However, photos or videos may be taken at events and used for marketing on public channels such as LinkedIn and the website.
Deletion and storage of your information
Medtech Odense will delete the information when it is no longer relevant to store. Your data will be deleted by 2040 at the latest. If you wish to have your personal data deleted earlier, you can withdraw your consent.
Disclosure
Information that can identify you may be disclosed, and if information about you is published, it may appear on Medtech Odense's communication channels (e.g., website, LinkedIn page). It may also be published on SDU, OUH, Region of Southern Denmark, and Odense Municipality's websites and social media. Additionally, it may be disclosed in the press and news media. Finally, information about you may be published in printed and digital materials for marketing purposes related to Medtech Odense's activities.

Information is shared with Odense University Hospital (OUH), Region of Southern Denmark, and Odense Municipality.
